Michelle joined U. S. Steel Corporation in 2018. She leads Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and Diversity & Inclusion. She is responsible for developing and delivering critical aspects of the Talent Strategy, inclusive of succession planning, digitization and updating of recruitment, assessment, onboarding, and our Talent to Value and Capability Building programs. She also leads the company’s global efforts around Diversity, Inclusion and Engagement.
Michelle, most recently, was Partner at Heidrick & Struggles serving global client across a range of industries including high tech, healthcare, media and entertainment, industrial, and consumer. Michelle advised Fortune 100 C-suite executives at the intersection of business strategy and leadership. Her expertise includes M&A due diligence, succession and transition planning, executive coaching, senior team effectiveness, and diversity strategy. Prior to Heidrick, she held a senior leadership role at Google. Before working in the human capital area, Michelle held senior strategy and operating roles at AOL/Time Warner and at Pfizer. Prior to Pfizer, Michelle worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, Ernst & Young, and Accenture.
Michelle earned her MBA in finance and management strategy from Columbia University’s School of Business and her bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering from Columbia University’s School of Engineering. She is a software engineer and developer by training.
