Jim is a Managing Director and serves on the Investment Committee at Hamilton Robinson Capital Partners where he is responsible for sourcing, analyzing, structuring and monitoring private equity investments in the lower middle market. The firm undertakes control investments in the specialty manufacturing, business to business services and value added distribution sectors. Jim currently serves as a director of GrayMatter Systems, Pacific Northern Environmental (PNE) and Great Elm Capital Group.
Jim was previously a partner in Peak Ten Capital, an alternative investment management firm investing in the global technology sector where he was responsible for the firm’s investments in the IT Infrastructure and enterprise software verticals. Prior to Peak Ten Capital, Jim was a partner in Union Square Advisors, a strategic advisory firm where he led the firm’s global IT Infrastructure practice. Before Union Square Advisors, Jim was a senior equity research analyst covering the data networking and telecommunications equipment sectors for Credit Suisse First Boston (Credit Suisse) where he was recognized throughout his research career as leading analyst in the sector by Institutional Investor Magazine, The Wall Street Journal (“Best on the Street List”) and Reuters.
Jim received a BA degree in Economics from Trinity College and an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School.
