An entrant’s product may be employed in a wide variety of functional areas within such companies -- sales, marketing, human resources and logistics, for example -- not solely in the manufacturing process itself.

IIC Winners and Grand Prize winner Announced
Does it cost anything to enter? No. Entering the IIC is free. Everyone who enters is eligible for a specially-priced registration to IndEx 2020.
How many companies are accepted into IIC? Of the companies that enter, 12 startups will be selected as finalists.
How will finalists be selected? A panel of judges representing venture capital firms will review all entries and select 12 tech companies as IIC finalists. Based on the industrial segments served by the finalists, Industrial Exchange will then select judges from operating companies within those segments. Startups that are accepted into the IIC will serve industries in these categories (value drivers above).
What are the industrial segments? Continuous processing industries (e.g. pulp, paper, refineries, chemicals), manufacturing (e.g. automotive, packaging, converting operations, food and beverage) and infrastructure (e.g. energy, construction)
What do finalists receive? Finalists will attend IndEx 2020 free of charge (x2). They also are invited to participate at no cost in a special Innovation Zone in the Convention Center.
How will winners be selected? VC and operating firm judges will take part in a discussion with finalists in a conference session at IndEx 2020. The conversation with each finalist will cover: The business problem the technology solves, why thetechnology is innovative, the users of the technology and the payback period for implementing the technology.
What do Grand Prize Winners receive? The IIC Grand Prize Winner will receive a $25,000 prize from Industrial Exchange as part of a year-long program that will document the installation, use and effectiveness of the winning product at an industrial company.
Can I participate in IndEx 2020 if my company is not accepted into the IIC? Yes. Please contact email@example.com.
What is the selection criteria? The exact criteria is provided one month in advance of IndEx 2020.
What information should I provide to be considered for inclusion into IIC? - Website - Description of company (1-2 sentences) - HQ Location - Year founded - Total capital raised to date - Standard Pitch deck - Key competitors (if any)
Can I still attend or exhibit at IndEx 2020 if my company is not accepted into the IIC? You can still exhibit at IndEx 2020. If your company is not accepted into the challenge we will offer you a special startup up package to showcase your firm alongside . We will also make special reduced price tickets available if you would like to attend IndEx 2020 but not exhibit.

IndEx 2020 brings together the sector's most important participants — private equity, institutional, and individual owners; C-suite and senior-level operators from all major industrial sub-sectors; leading and up-and-coming technology and investment bankers and consultants — to network, share ideas and hear from recognized experts on issues shaping the future of industrial America. Last year, companies represented by the more than 600 conference attendees accounted for approximately 2.5% of US GDP.
